Which Shoulder are you Supposed to Throw The Salt Over?

Posted by RestaurantSource on October 25, 2011

It’s a proven fact that almost every food tastes better with some sort of seasoning.  Just adding a little salt and pepper goes a long way!  Often times you run out of seasoning and then just throw away the bottle rather then refill it.  Well, if you are going to throw away the bottle already, why spend money on something that is not meant to be disposed?

Some times you don’t want to buy a full size spice grinder.  You know you love that fresh taste of ground pepper, yet you don’t want to waste half the bottle just because you don’t need a lot of the spice.  If you don’t use your spices fast enough, and this is a problem for you, check out the Gourmet Grinds Mini Spice Grinders from Chef Specialties.  These grinders are not only great for picnics and other outdoor events, but also great for placing on your dining room tables because you have the option of customizing the label for just $1 more per bottle.  It never hurts to reiterate your brand over and over again to customers. Choose from salt, pepper or pepper blend.  The mini mill also comes with a cap so you don’t have to worry about spillage, and therefore people throwing salt over their shoulder into another persons face.  Now if that doesn’t say good luck, I don’t know what does…

By the way, my sources tell me that if you are superstitious, salt should be thrown over your left shoulder.  However, you can’t go wrong with both shoulders just in case ;).
